The season opened with a successful launch and stabilized into a phase of ambitious infrastructure projects, functioning economic systems, and organized community activities.

==Launch Phase==
Dozens of players connected when the server opened. [[LordFire]] completed the "Stone Age" advancement first. [[ZER01we]] located diamonds within the first hour. The launch day player count exceeded Season IV's maximum. The initial progression rate and high concurrent player numbers established the season's trajectory.

==Infrastructure Development==
Players constructed large-scale facilities that modified the server landscape and supported economic activity.

===Production Facilities and Commerce===
*'''Industrial Farms:''' [[PurelyAkemi]] built multiple high efficiency farms, including a gold farm designed to produce over 1,200 gold blocks per hour. She also constructed mob, slime, and tree farms, and developed [[PurelyAltkemi]], a scripted bot for automating AFK processes.
*'''Spawn Commerce Zone:''' [[WaterTie]], [[Jazzyshakes]] and [[ChronicWhiffer]] built a large auction house at spawn. Multiple players opened shops, leading to the establishment of an official market square. [[Jurarules]] and liquid controlled most of the enchanted book market. Jeff monopolised shulker shell distribution through an efficient farm.
*'''Voxel Visionaries:''' [[IanTheOfficial|Ian]], [[Brazy]], and [[Millwalone|Will]] formed this construction group. They renovated spawn roads, designed a new nether hub, and built [[Mudkip]]'s base, which featured a kraken structure wrapped around the main building.
*'''Creative Server:''' A separate creative server launched to support large projects from current and future seasons. The creative server supported WorldEdit and Axiom.

===Player Constructions===
[[CommonerKane]] and [[Tree4tress]] built a New Mexican Pueblo-style base. PurelyAkemi planned a 25,000-block temporary base modelled after Howl's Moving Castle. [[Guzz1man]] completed a modern office building.

==Community Activities==
Players organised recurring events and gatherings.

===Organised Competitions===
*'''Hide and Seek:''' A server-wide hide-and-seek event took place in the spawn area.
*'''Colosseum Tournament:''' Players competed in standardized gear sets. [[Stranded Lord]] won.
*'''Hunger Games:''' [[arcanaMC]] won this event, held on the separate event server.
*'''Halloween Events:''' Brazy organized a scavenger hunt using shulker boxes hidden around spawn. Will organized a raffle.

===Wedding and Trial===
'''Izzy''' and '''Shadow''' held an in-game wedding attended by multiple server members. The afterparty ended when [[ChewedApples]] killed multiple attendees [[NinjaTrunks]] presided over an impromptu trial, found ChewedApples guilty, and sentenced them to execution.
[[File:Auction-Tab.png|thumb|Server TAB during the auction event]]

===Elections and Auction===
[[Herbane]] won election as Judge and [[Tylernausurus]] as Minister.

A large auction followed, where players spent hundreds of diamonds on rare items. The event redistributed substantial wealth across the server - causing the largest collection of players since the launch at 32.

== Notable Builds ==
Season V saw the creation of several impressive and detailed builds across the server. Most notably, Ian's [[Town of Avro]] identified by the robot in the centre.
[[File:Town-of-Avro-Day.png|thumb|Town of Avro during day]]

=== Town of Avro ===
[[Town of Avro|The Town of Avro]] was a large build organized by [[IanTheOfficial|Ian]], while most of the area was his, it was also home to [[Brazy#Base|other players]] who built their own creations along edges of town. Inside the town was a robot featuring an automatic animation turn on during the night. Moreover, prominent planes in the sky with rotating propellers. Across the server, the area was widely recognised for its impressive detail and effort put into the creation. Ian is also one of the founders of [[Voxel Visionaries]].

=== Tyler's Sandwich Shop ===
Tyler's Sandwich Shop is well known for being the best sandwich shop in all of CrabCraft as well as having amazing sandwiches.

==Season Conclusion==
'''The Purge''' event was scheduled for November 9th. During this end of season event, restrictions on stealing and other normally prohibited actions would be temporarily lifted before the server reset for [[Season 6]].

• Villager Trade Rebalance|platform=PaperMC}}'''Season 4''' of CrabCraft was the server’s largest and most active season to date. Launching on '''29 November 2024''', the season immediately saw a massive influx of players, leading to a period of intense activity. The world was defined by its early chaos, ambitious building projects, and a vibrant player-driven economy and social structure.

== The First Day ==
The season kicked off with unprecedented energy. Within minutes of the server going live, dozens of players had connected, all eager to stake their claims. This initial rush was characterised by rapid resource gathering and a significant amount of player-versus-player conflict. Early deaths were a common occurrence, with the first kill of the season being [[jazzyshakes]] slain by [[bartuctheshadow]]. This set a precedent for a high-stakes, competitive early game where players like [[Yeetis_boi]] and [[ChewedApples]] also fell in PvP encounters.

The sheer number of players caused a minor technical hiccup when the server hit a temporary player cap, but a quick restart by '''[[MaxUK__]]''' allowed the population to swell further. Despite the conflict, progression was swift. Players like [[ItsMatty404]] and [[bartuctheshadow]] quickly earned the ''Stone Age'' and ''Getting an Upgrade'' advancements, paving the way for the server’s rapid technological advancement.

== The Rise of Communities and Projects ==
As the initial chaos subsided, players began collaborating on ambitious projects that would define the landscape and social fabric of Season 4.

=== Hardshell Developments & Crabitat Towers ===
One of the most ambitious urban projects was undertaken by '''[[SirIncognito]]''' (also known as Dex), the founder of [[Hardshell Developments]]. He began construction on a massive apartment and office building near spawn, which came to be known as '''Crabitat Towers'''. Intended to be a central hub for player housing and commerce, the tower was a symbol of the season’s forward-thinking community. SirIncognito planned to sell or lease floors to other players, establishing a formal in-game economy around prime real estate.

=== Grillby’s Bar ===
Constructed by '''[[jazzyshakes]]''', this faithful re-creation of the bar from the game ''Undertale'' became a beloved landmark and social hub. Located near spawn, Grillby’s was not just a build but a planned business, with '''[[jazzyshakes]]''' intending to sell custom-named potions and other goods, adding a unique role-playing element to the server’s economy.

=== The Colosseum ===
Early in the season, '''[[Yeetis_boi]]''' and '''[[LuminousBones]]''' began the monumental task of building a Colosseum. This structure was designed to host server-wide events, PvP tournaments, and other community games. Its construction was a significant undertaking, and it stood as a testament to the players’ ambition to create lasting entertainment for the entire server.

=== The Spawn Christmas Tree ===
As a server-wide festive project, a giant Christmas tree was erected at spawn. This build became a unique and humorous part of the server’s culture, as players began a tradition of placing the heads of other players on the tree as “ornaments.” This “murder tree,” as it was affectionately called, was a living monument to the season’s friendships and rivalries, with '''[[jazzyshakes]]''' being a primary collector of these unique decorations.

== Key Events of the Season ==
=== The Ender Dragon Conquest ===
One of the season’s most anticipated events was the community fight against the Ender Dragon. After the End was opened, a large group of players banded together to enter the End dimension. The battle was swift and decisive, with '''[[Reexmas]]''' landing the final blow and earning the '''Free the End''' advancement for the server.

This victory triggered a frantic and exciting rush to the outer End islands. Players raced to find End Cities and claim the server’s first Elytras. '''[[Sugakoi]]''' was the first to achieve this, forever changing the way players could travel and explore the vast world.

=== The Court of CrabCraft ===
Season 4 saw the emergence of a player-run justice system, with '''[[WaterTie]]''' often acting as judge. The most famous case was the trial of '''[[jazzyshakes]]''' for the murder of '''[[shadows_eminence]]'''. The proceedings were a source of great entertainment, with other players taking on the roles of lawyers and witnesses. The trial concluded with a guilty verdict and a fine, showcasing the server’s ability to create its own engaging lore and social structures.

=== Wither Fights and Beacons ===
As players progressed into the late game, the focus shifted to acquiring beacons. Several groups successfully fought the Wither, with '''[[LuminousBones]]''' being the first to craft and place a beacon. This marked a new era of efficiency for the server, as players used the beacon’s powerful effects to aid in their massive building and mining projects.

== Notable Players and Lore ==
* '''[[jazzyshakes]]''': A key community figure, responsible for major builds like Grillby’s and the event centre. Their “murder tree” and their trial were defining moments of the season’s lore.
* '''[[shadows_eminence]]''', [[Raferpro]], and '''[[bartuctheshadow]]''': This trio became legendary for their frequent and often spectacular deaths. Their constant presence in the death feed was a source of endless amusement for the server.
* '''[[SirIncognito]]''': The visionary behind [[Hardshell Developments]] and the ambitious '''Crabitat Towers''', aiming to create a centralised economy and housing solution for the server.
* '''The Netherrack Prank''': A server-wide inside joke where players would prank each other by encasing their builds or doorways in Netherrack, a simple yet effective way to show camaraderie.
* '''The Three Annas''': For a time, the server was home to three players known as “Ana” ('''[[Anathandent]]''', '''[[beloveddd]]''' as anna#2, and another player), leading to some humorous confusion in chat.

== The End of the Season ==
After weeks of intense activity, epic builds, and memorable events, Season 4 reached its natural conclusion. Players had conquered the End, established thriving bases and shops, and built a rich history together. As the season wound down, the world stood as a testament to the largest and most dynamic chapter in CrabCraft’s history, filled with the stories and creations of its dedicated community.

The season was characterised by rapid progression, ambitious community projects, a dynamic player-driven economy, and memorable events that defined the server’s unique history.

== The Beginning ==
The season began with a flurry of activity as dozens of players logged on for the first time. The initial hours were a race for resources, with advancements for '''Stone Age''' and '''Getting an Upgrade''' filling the chat. The community spirit was evident from the start, even in moments of peril. Player [[WaterTie]] famously achieved the server’s first death at the hands of a Zombie, an event he celebrated in chat, setting a lighthearted tone for the challenges to come.

Diamonds were discovered remarkably quickly, with WaterTie once again claiming a server first, finding a single diamond shortly after the launch. This kicked off a diamond rush, with players like [[AquaRose77]], [[mandrew34]] and [[mmorbid]] soon following suit, gearing up for the dangers ahead.

The early days were not without conflict. Player [[VegasDuo]] established a reputation for PvP, claiming a few of the server’s first player-versus-player takedowns. This early chaos eventually settled as players began to establish their own bases and form alliances.

== Progression and Milestones ==
The server’s progression was swift, with several key milestones being reached in the first few days of the season.

=== The Nether Rush ===
[[Dooberdwarf]] was the first player to brave the Nether, constructing a portal and earning the '''We Need to Go Deeper''' advancement. Many others quickly followed, seeking the valuable resources and inherent dangers of the dimension. This led to numerous encounters with Ghasts, Piglins and the treacherous terrain of the Nether, with players like Dooberdwarf and mandrew34 making significant progress by exploring Bastions and Fortresses.

=== The Wither Fights ===
The server saw several Wither fights, a testament to the players’ determination. The first Wither was summoned by mandrew34, with other players like WaterTie, [[SirIncognito]] and [[MaxUK]] also taking on the challenge. The battle led by Max and Dex was particularly chaotic, resulting in numerous deaths but ultimately ending in victory and a much-needed beacon for the community at spawn.

=== The Ender Dragon ===
The battle against the Ender Dragon was a massive community event, with a large portion of the server’s active players gathering to face the boss. After a coordinated and intense battle, the dragon was defeated, with player [[SuperStormer123]] landing the final blow and earning the '''Free the End''' advancement.

The victory immediately sparked the “Great Elytra Hunt,” as players poured through the newly opened End Gateways in a mad dash to find End Cities and claim the coveted wings. This led to a new era of exploration and travel on the server.

== Notable Players and Projects ==
Season 2 was defined by the creativity and dedication of its players, who undertook massive projects and established unique roles within the community.

* [[Jazzyshakes]] (jazzy): An incredibly ambitious builder, Jazzy undertook the monumental task of recreating the world of the video game ''Undertale'' deep beneath the spawn town. They also established several shops, including a mud shop and a froglight farm, and served as the community’s resident DJ during a particularly memorable music session at the casino.

* [[Yeetis_boi]]: Known for his massive '''Colosseum''' build near spawn, Yeetis_boi spent countless hours gathering resources and terraforming the landscape. He also established a firework shop to supply the server with rockets for their new elytra.

* '''The Merchants''': A thriving economy quickly developed at the spawn shopping district. Key merchants included Dune, who was a primary source for Mending books; SuperStormer123, who sold a variety of enchanted books and other goods; and Dex, who opened the “Cat Cafe.”

* '''The Unfortunate''': Some players became legendary for their frequent and often humorous deaths. [[Raven5765]] and [[thegamerdan09]] had a particularly difficult time with Skeletons and gravity. [[LordFire__]] also racked up an impressive death count in his early days on the server, providing much entertainment for the community.

* [[Notbaked2]] (shadow): A chaotic but memorable figure, shadow established the server’s first “Black Market” and was responsible for the great gunpowder heist, where he stole a double chest of gunpowder from Yeetis_boi’s farm. His actions led to a server-wide investigation and a demand for compensation.

== Community, Lore, and Events ==
Beyond individual projects, the community came together for events and created a rich server lore.

=== The Hide and Seek Event ===
An official Hide and Seek event was hosted in the spawn town, bringing together a large number of players for a fun, non-combat activity. The event featured multiple rounds with different seekers, challenging players to find the most creative hiding spots in the intricately built town.

=== The Casino ===
A casino was built by [[mmorbid]] and [[WaterTie]], becoming a popular hub for players to test their luck, featuring a slot machine and other games of chance. It also became the location for an impromptu DJ session hosted by Jazzy, which was a highlight for many players online at the time.

This era was defined by rapid development, the establishment of the [[Diamond-based economy]], and the birth of several server legends. It laid the foundation for the community.

== History ==
The early days were a scramble for resources, with players like [[AuroraFlight]] quickly achieving full diamond gear, setting a high bar for progress.

An early, memorable bug involved “Confetti Creepers,” which exploded harmlessly into festive particles, a feature some players wished to keep.

By late March, the server’s economy began to take shape. [[M4gicX]] established one of the first and most vital enterprises: a Mending book shop, cementing diamonds as the server’s primary currency. This spurred the creation of the '''Shopping District''' and a Nether Hub on the roof of the Nether, which quickly became the server’s main transportation network.

The season saw the rise and fall of strange social phenomena, most notably the '''“Great Sir Uprising,”''' a period where a significant portion of the player base, in a display of collective whimsy, adopted “Sir” as a prefix to their usernames. While short-lived, the “Sir” cult remains a memorable part of the season’s lore.

As the season progressed, the community’s goals shifted from individual survival to large-scale projects and politics. The server’s first Ender Dragon was defeated, an Enderman farm was constructed by [[Dyslex1k_]], and the first mayoral election was held, which saw Pip take office. The season concluded in late May after a catastrophic explosion caused by [[unkillable2]] led to a world restore, with the community looking ahead to a potential [[Season 2]].

=== Key Events ===
'''The First Wither Fight:''' [[M4gicX]] was the first to summon and defeat the Wither, constructing the server’s first beacon and asserting himself as an early industrial powerhouse.

'''The Dragon Slayers:''' Multiple players and groups successfully defeated the Ender Dragon, opening up access to the End Cities and making the Elytra a coveted status symbol.

'''The Unkillable Saga:''' A running tragicomedy throughout the season was the incredible misfortune of player [[unkillable2]]. Despite their name, they suffered a remarkably high number of deaths from virtually every cause imaginable, from falling out of the world to being slain by their own Iron Golems. Their persistence became legendary.

'''The Great Sir Uprising:''' A spontaneous social movement in late March where numerous players, including [[MaxUK|Sir Max]], [[Holywatey|Sir Holy]], [[AuroraFlight|Sir Noah]], [[DerockGamer|Sir Burger]], and [[Dooberdwarf|Sir Doober]], adopted aristocratic titles.

'''The First Mayoral Election:''' The community held its first election, a sign of its maturing political landscape. Pip was elected as the first mayor, with a primary focus on completing the Town Hall.

'''The Big Boom & The Great Restore:''' The season effectively ended after a massive explosion caused significant damage, prompting a server rollback and discussions about a fresh start for Season 2.

== Notable Locations ==
'''The Shopping District:''' Located at approximately 160, 1600, this was the economic heart of the server. It housed a variety of player-run shops, including the wildly popular Mending book store, Pip’s Potions, and various resource outlets.

'''The Nether Hub:''' Built on the Nether roof, this network of ice highways and portals was the primary method for long-distance travel, connecting the disparate bases of the server’s citizens.

'''The Town Hall:''' A major community project spearheaded by Mayor Pip, intended to be a central hub for server governance and community events. Its construction was a significant focus in the latter half of the season.

'''The Enderman Farm:''' A vital utility built by [[Dyslex1k_]], providing the server with a reliable source of XP and Ender Pearls.

== Lore and Inside Jokes ==
'''MSPT Warnings:''' The incessant server performance warnings from the [[Crabby]] bot were a constant presence, evolving from a nuisance into an inside joke.

'''Rumblephina:''' A villager who became the subject of a bizarre and dramatic love-triangle-esque story arc involving [[GonchiCaballo]] and Pip. The saga included romantic advances, heartbreak, and a startling revelation via a texture pack.

'''The Death Leaderboard:''' A public scoreboard tracking player deaths became a source of both shame and bragging rights. GonchiCaballo held a dominant, almost uncontested, lead for most of the season.

== Trivia ==

* The server was notably multilingual, with players often conversing in Spanish, German and Danish alongside English.

* Player nicknames were a fluid and popular feature, with the Sir trend being the most prominent example.

== Welcome ==
Welcome to the official '''CrabCraft''' Wiki that documents everything about [[CrabCraft]].

CrabCraft is a community-driven Minecraft server founded on March 14, 2024 by [[MaxUK|Max]] and [[SirIncognito|Dex]]. We are currently on our [[Season 6|sixth season]].

== Getting Started ==

=== Requirements ===
Anyone with a registered account can create and edit pages on this wiki, this restriction is so that ''IP addresses'' are not broadcast in the history section.

=== Creating Pages ===
The current recommendation to create pages is to create a link to that page in another page, this ensures all pages are linked together. The following pages are common lists that you might want to create pages from:

* [[Player List]]
* [[Shop List]]
* [[Base List]]
* [[Season List]]

=== Editing Pages ===
Editing the pages on this wiki is much like editing pages on Wikipedia. The edit button in the top right can be used to enter the [[mediawikiwiki:Help:VisualEditor/User_guide|visual editor]], here you can make changes to pages easily. More advanced users may want to edit the source for more fine grained control and to access features that may not be present in the visual editor. It is recommended that upon publishing a page a brief description of the edit is written.

== Style Guide ==
Pages should be written in the third person for both consistency and to appear as a source of neutral information. Other perspectives can be used under the author's discretion e.g. quoting another player.

The start of a page should not be a header, instead it should contain a brief lead on the subject as seen on [[wikipedia:Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section|Wikipedia]]. The headers in a page should be used in order i.e. Header, Sub-Heading 1, Sub-Heading 2, Sub-Heading 1, etc.

Internal links should be used only with the first occurrence of that word on the page, any subsequent occurrences should be left unlinked.

Refrain from making text bold, especially for emphasis where italics should be used instead. When the title of the page occurs in the lead, the first occurrence can be made bold.

The usage of [https://chatgpt.com/ ChatGPT] and other large language models is permitted, but pages should be slimmed down and not contain unnecessary sentences that add no extra information (waffle).

== Statistics ==
As of now, this wiki hosts a total of '''{{NUMBEROFARTICLES}}''' pages, which have collectively been edited '''{{NUMBEROFEDITS}}''' times by a community of '''{{NUMBEROFUSERS}}''' registered users.

CrabCraft Wrapped was conceptualised to provide closure for players after the conclusion of server seasons. The project utilises Minecraft world stat files to aggregate player behaviour across many hours of playtime. Unlike standard in-game statistics, the Wrapped platform presents data with high-resolution backgrounds, custom pixel art, and comparative analysis against the general player base.
== Technical Infrastructure ==
The CrabCraft Wrapped platform is engineered as a modern web application built on the '''Next.js''' framework. The system operates by parsing native '''Minecraft world statistic files''' (.json), which track granular player actions throughout each season.

These data points are processed and stored within a '''LibSQL database''', allowing for high performance querying of historical records. The front end dynamically retrieves and renders these statistics based on a player's '''Unique Identifier (UUID)'''.

To ensure security and data accuracy, the platform integrates directly into the '''CrabCraft Application System'''. By logging in via '''Discord''', the system automatically identifies and verifies the player's linked Minecraft account, granting them immediate access to their personalised seasonal journey.

Max: Reverted edit by ElGuapo (talk) to last revision by Herbane

On the 23rd of November 2025, we held the official CrabCraft [[Season 6]] Community Discussion event. Allowing members to give feedback on the previous season ([[Season V]]), ahead of the launch of the next. Around 30 players attended, providing insight into possible changes.

== Summary of Event ==

=== Gameplay and Server Mechanics ===
'''Minecart Experiment'''. This is a [https://minecraft.wiki/w/Minecart_Improvements Minecraft experiment] that will be enabled for the launch of Season 6. It allows for the adjustment of minecart physics and speed.
# '''In the Nether''', minecarts will be increases slightly to discourage the use of other transportation methods like Elytra, and make the Nether a viable high speed travel network.
# '''In the Overworld,''' Minecart speeds will remain at their default setting to prevent breaking precisely timed minecart systems, farms and builds.
'''Villager Trade Rebalance.''' This refers to the [https://minecraft.wiki/w/Villager_Trade_Rebalance Minecraft experiment] which changes some mechanics related to the villager trading system. This has been enabled on all past SMPs, however we confirmed this will '''not''' be enabled for Season 6.

=== Locator Bar ===
[[File:Survival Locator Bar.png|thumb|Locator bar in Survival mode, showing orange and blue waypoints.]]
This is a UI feature recently added by Mojang that displays all players locations as waypoints, replacing the XP progress. After a poll held, the majority of players voted to disable this feature. Therefore it will '''not''' be enabled for Season 6.

=== End Fight Date ===
We discussed the optimal time to hold the server-wide fight against the Ender Dragon. In Season 5 it was held approximately 4 weeks after the launch of the Season. Following feedback from the community via a Discord poll, and the success of Season 5 we have decided to stick with a 4 week period.

=== Cabinet / Mayor / Judge ===
'''Pro Cabinet.''' Some players feel a cabinet of elected officials is a good idea for community engagement, but would require moderation to remove inactive members

'''Anti Cabinet.''' Other players argued that elected members often become inactive and accomplish nothing. making the system "pointless".

'''Single Mayor System.''' [[KingChuck]] proposed having a single mayor with an inactivity clause; if the mayor is offline for a week, they forfeit the position to the next candidate.

'''Mayor's Authority.''' The powers and responsibilities of the mayor need to be clearly defined so the role has a clear purpose beyond just a title.

=== Season Length ===
The goal for Season 6 is to last longer than [[Season List|previous seasons]], aiming for approximately '''six months'''. This would allow for the completion of larger, more ambitious community builds and projects.

=== Town / Shopping District & Shop Plots vs Free Build ===
'''Shop Plots.''' The system from last season where players had to purchase plots to build in the shopping district was criticized for being too expensive for new players and somewhat restrictive.

'''Free Build.''' The consensus is leaning towards a free-build shopping district for more creativity.

'''Organization.''' However, some players argued for some form of organization (like defined roads or zones) to prevent the area from becoming a chaotic "mess."

'''Demolition''' '''Rule.''' A proposal was made for a '''two-week demolition rule''' for builds within the main town. If a structure is clearly unfinished and the owner has been inactive, other players could be given permission to remove it to keep the town looking clean.

=== Season Events & Secret Santa ===
There is a strong desire for more regular, community-driven events.

'''Secret Santa.''' A server-wide Secret Santa event was proposed for the Christmas period, where players would be randomly assigned another player to give a gift to.

'''Other Events.''' Players also suggested hosting in-game events for players' birthdays. The idea of having a dedicated "events person" or committee (Pip offered) was well-received.

=== Mounts of Mayhem & Spawn Lag ===
'''Server Version.''' Season 6 will launch on Minecraft version '''1.21.10'''

'''Mounts of Mayhem Update.''' The server will be updated to the new major version as soon as the necessary server software and plugins are updated, which is expected in mid-to-late December.

'''Spawn Lag:''' To reduce lag at spawn, the following is requested from players:

# Use '''barrels''' instead of chests where possible
# Avoid using large numbers of '''item frames'''.
# '''No farms''' of any kind are to be built near the central spawn/shopping area.

=== The Nether Hub ===
There is strong community interest in building a large, organized, and aesthetically pleasing Nether Hub.

This is being positioned as a major '''community project'''.

The plan is to have clearly marked portals, safe pathways, and potentially high-speed '''ice boat highways''' leading in the cardinal and diagonal directions to make travel across the server fast and easy.

=== World Border ===
A '''temporary world border''' will be implemented for the '''first 24 hours''' of the season.

The size will be somewhere around '''5,000-5,000 to 10,000-10,000.'''

The purpose is '''not''' to limit exploration permanently, but to allow the server to pre-render the most commonly travelled chunks during the high-traffic launch period, which will significantly reduce server lag for everyone.

=== Streaming / Recording ===
The system of having a '''"Live" tag''' in-game for players who are streaming or recording will be continued.

This system was met with unanimous approval from the community as a good way to inform players when their voice and actions might be broadcast.

== Season V ==
SauronY is one of the most mysterious and feared figures on CrabCraft. Also known as [[ArcanaMC]]’s older brother, this lone warrior silently roams the darkest corners of the server. He rarely speaks, never engages in long conversations, and keeps his distance; watching other players from afar—high hills, deep forest shadows, or tall towers. His mere presence sends chills down your spine, like a shadow that never quite leaves.

Nicknamed “Super Slaughter Bros” by [[Herbane]], he and his brother [[ArcanaMC]] became the server’s legendary duo. When they fight together, no one can stand in their way—but SauronY’s true strength lies in his individual brutality.

His most unforgettable moment came on Season 5 Purge Day. When the lawless massacre began, SauronY unleashed his true evil: he mercilessly slaughtered everyone who crossed his path. His sword swung like a storm; opponents fell one by one, the server drowned in blood. That day, he revealed the full extent of his darkness and walked away unscathed.
== Development and History ==
CrabCraft Wrapped was conceptualised to provide closure for players after the conclusion of server seasons. == Core Features ==
The Wrapped journey is structured into eight distinct pages, each focusing on a different vertical of the player's experience.
It serves as a comprehensive data visualisation tool, allowing players to review their gameplay statistics and milestones from Season 1 and Season 6 in an aesthetic format inspired by Spotify Wrapped.

== Development and History ==

== Core Features ==
The Wrapped journey is structured into eight distinct pages, each focusing on a different vertical of the player's experience.

=== 1. Time Played ===
This page calculates the player's total time investment on the server.
* '''Duration:''' Displayed in total hours, with a secondary breakdown of days, hours, and minutes.
* '''Benchmarking:''' Provides a multiplier showing how the player's time compares to the average active user.

=== 2. Distance Travelled ===
Tracks the movement patterns of the player across the Overworld, Nether, and End.
* '''Total Distance:''' Represented in kilometers (km).
* '''Logistics:''' A categorised bar graph showing the distance covered via '''Elytra''', '''Sprinting''', '''Walking''', and '''Boats'''.

=== 3. Blocks Broken & Placed ===
A breakdown of the player's physical impact on the environment.
* '''Total Mined:''' A raw count of blocks destroyed, accompanied by a "Favourite Block" (the block type most frequently mined).

=== 4. Combat ===
Focuses on the player's interaction with mobs and other players.
* '''Kill/Death (K/D) Ratio:''' A calculation of total kills versus total deaths.
* '''Entity Targets:''' Highlights the specific mob most frequently killed (e.g., Endermen).
* '''Lethality:''' Identifies the player's biggest threat or primary cause of death.

=== 5. Crafted and Built ===
Distinct from mining, this section tracks the player's contribution to the server's infrastructure.
* '''Items Crafted:''' Total number of items created through crafting recipes.
* '''Blocks Placed:''' The total count of blocks used in construction.
* '''Tools of the Trade:''' Tracks the most used tool based on durability consumption.

=== 6. Fun Facts ===
Aggregates "hidden" statistics that do not fit into traditional categories:
* '''Athleticism:''' Total jump count.
* '''Societal Impact:''' Total villager trades and animal breeding instances.
* '''Utility:''' Number of times the player slept or performed enchantments.

=== 7. Player Rankings ===
A competitive breakdown comparing the player to the total pool of all season participants.
* '''Categories:''' Rankings are assigned for Play Time, Blocks Mined, Mob Kills, Distance, and Crafting.
* '''Percentiles:''' Informs the player if they are in the "Top X%" for a specific category.

=== 8. Final Summary ===
The final page provides a "shareable" graphic that consolidates the player's most impressive statistics into a single card, suitable for posting on community Discord channels or social media.

== Technical Infrastructure ==

[[File:S6-Secret-Santa.png|left|thumb|360x360px|Two players standing under the Christmas tree at spawn, where presents were wrapped]]
Due to Season 6 starting near to the Christmas period, we held a Secret Santa event for all players interested. 45 players took part in the event, and all presents were wrapped under the tree build by [[XPrincessPipx]] and others.

Players were allowed to open their gifts from the 22nd of December through to the 1st of January.

== End Fight ==
On the 28th of December, the server hosted the end fight event. With '''over 33 players''' logging in to take part, the event was a success with the server defeating the dragon within the first 15 minutes of it opening.

During the fight, some players chose to venture off into the end using various methods, notably one group used Happy Ghasts to find Elytra's and Shulker Shells which would be sold.

After the Ender Dragon was killed, various players ran after the egg wanting to be the first to hold it. As a result, the egg fell into the void and is whereabouts is unknown as of the fight.

The [[CrabCraft]] Cabinet is the semi-official governing body of the server. It began during [[Season 4]] and has since evolved through player declarations, drama, democracy, and questionable appointments. Notably, during [[Season V]] it was restructured to elect a Governor and a Judge. The elected governor picks their own cabinet, and has the freedom to create their own cabinet roles.
Cabinet members are responsible for specific areas of server life - from media and messaging to food systems and infrastructure. While their powers may be imaginary, their influence is very real.
== Simple Voice Chat ==
We use [https://modrinth.com/plugin/simple-voice-chat Simple Voice Chat] to allow players to communicate via voice, over proximity or global groups. This mod is '''recommended and encouraged''' for all players. While we understand not all players are able to talk in voice chat every session, we ask that all players install the mod regardless, as it allows you to hear others.

Moreover, installing Simple Voice Chat allows you to hear custom music discs created by players in-game!

=== Installation Guide (Fabric) ===

# Download the '''[https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/ Fabric Loader]'''
## Open the downloaded executable file
## Ensure '''Minecraft Version''' is set to the latest version supported on CrabCraft, which currently is '''1.21.11'''
## Click '''Install'''
# Open the '''mods''' folder
## This can be done on Windows by pressing '''WIN + R'''
## Enter '''%appdata%''' in the opened window
## Enter the '''.minecraft''' folder, then open '''mods'''
# Download the most recent version of '''[https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api/versions?c=release&g=1.21.11 Fabric API]'''
## Copy the downloaded file into the mods folder you opened in step 2
# Download '''[https://modrinth.com/plugin/simple-voice-chat/version/fabric-1.21.11-2.6.11 Simple Voice Chat] ''(You MUST be using version 1.21.11-2.6.11)'''''
## Copy the downloaded file into the mods folder you opened in step 2
# Open the '''Minecraft Launcher'''
## Select '''fabric-loader-1.21.11''' from the installations list
## Click play

=== Setting up Simple Voice Chat ===
After starting Minecraft and joining CrabCraft, you will need to set up voice chat. Don’t worry, this process is easy and fast.

# Press '''V''' on your keyboard
## Click '''Next''' and select your '''Microphone'''
## Click '''Next''' and choose your '''Speakers / Headphones'''
## Choose an activation method, we recommend '''Voice Activation''' as it requires no buttons to speak. (You can mute yourself at any time with the '''M''' key)
## We also recommend enabling '''Noise Suppression'''

=== Recommended Settings ===
Access the settings page with '''V''', then '''Settings'''

CrabCraft allows users to upload custom music discs in-game, this works using our voice chat system. Due to this, we recommend setting '''3D Audio''' as '''Reduced'''.

Moreover, if you’d like to disable music discs, or lower the volume navigate to the '''Adjust Volumes''' page

== Image Frame Client (optional) ==
Within CrabCraft, we allow players to upload static or animated images to maps, which can then be placed on item frames. This is server-sided, which means you do not need to install anything on your client if you don't want to.

However, there is an optional mod you can install if you'd like to see the images in their native resolution and colours.

=== Installation Guide ===

# Follow steps '''1-3''' under the Simple Voice Chat installation guide, which will help you get Fabric setup
# Download [https://modrinth.com/mod/imageframeclient/versions?g=1.21.11 I'''mageFrame Client'''] for '''1.21.11'''
## Copy the downloaded file into the mods folder
# '''Done!'''

== Map Link (optional) ==
[https://modrinth.com/mod/maplink Map Link] is a mod that hooks into our [https://map.crabcraft.net live map]! The mod allows you to synchronise player locations as icons, display any server-wide map markers, view AFK times and more.

=== Installation Guide ===

# Follow steps '''1-3''' under the Simple Voice Chat installation guide, which will help you get Fabric setup
# Download '''[https://modrinth.com/mod/maplink/versions?g=1.21.11 Map Link]''' for '''1.21.11'''
## Copy the downloaded file into the mods folder
## ''You must also have [https://modrinth.com/mod/cloth-config Cloth Config] and [https://modrinth.com/mod/modmenu Mod Menu] installed, as this is required to edit the configuration files''
# Launch Minecraft
# Open the '''Mods''' page, and navigate to '''Map Link'''. Hover over the icon to edit settings
## Under '''Server Entry''', add a new entry with the following details: <u>Web Map Type:</u> Bluemap <u>Server IP:</u> crabcraft.net <u>Web Map Link:</u> <nowiki>https://map.crabcraft.net</nowiki>
# '''Save & Quit'''. Your markers should now appear when you login to CrabCraft

== Armor Poser (Optional) ==
Armor Poser is a mod that allows you to easily manipulate armor stands on the server. It can be especially useful in builds to add detail and character.

=== Installation Guide ===

# Follow steps '''1-3''' under the Simple Voice Chat installation guide, which will help you get Fabric setup
# Download '''[https://modrinth.com/mod/armor-poser/versions?g=1.21.11 Armor Poser]''' for '''1.21.11'''
## Copy the downloaded file into the mods folder
# '''Done!'''
